Historical record only — this address no longer resolves to a running server.

Nordanaar was Turtle WoW's main PvE realm. It extended the Vanilla setting through the community-developed Mysteries of Azeroth content, including new stories, locations, encounters and playable options.

Default experience is x1, while optional modes alter the leveling rules for players who want a different challenge. Turtle WoW distributes a customized client, so use the official website and launcher instructions instead of assuming that an unmodified 1.12.1 installation contains every required asset.

Turtle WoW operated more than one realm behind the same account system and connection address.

Turtle WoW's realms switched off on 15 May 2026 under a permanent injunction that bars the original operators from running or recreating the project, ending eight years of development. No official character migration was offered. The details on this page are a historical record; the realmlist below will not connect.

Five independent projects have since picked up Turtle's client — see Five Servers Run Turtle WoW's Client Now for what each one offers and how seriously each takes the next takedown. Otherwise, browse the realm directory for live Vanilla realms.
